What is BHRT (Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy)?

How often is bloodwork needed?

BHH requires bloodwork to be completed minimally once a year.
However, it is recommended that bloodwork be completed 8-12 weeks after initially starting the treatment, and then at least quarterly until achieving optimal levels

Why does BHH charge a consultation and prescription fee for local-pharmacy-only clients?

The fee covers the provider’s time and medical services involved in reviewing your health history and labs, evaluating symptoms, developing an individualized treatment plan, and prescribing and managing approved medications. It is not simply a fee for “writing a prescription.”

Will my insurance cover prescriptions sent to my local pharmacy?

Coverage varies by insurance plan, medication, pharmacy, and prescribed formulation. BHH cannot guarantee insurance coverage or the amount of your pharmacy copay. BHH does not submit to insurances. We are private pay only. You can request a copy of detailed billing to submit to your insurance company independently.

So I had a virtual consult with an MD who was very nice. Told her aging and low energy was my main concern along with a few pounds. The company has been great and my journey has been great. Their orders come fast and they answer questions and communicate very well. My only one complaint is that they sell medication by the vial and it has not been lasting the amount of time they say it does. I’ve ordered a 3 month and recently purchased a 6 month supply. I have enough left for 1 more injection and it’s only been 4 months and I paid for a total of 9 months. Since my last purchase, I have noticed that the amounts of medication has changed and they are offering different specials on their vials. Too bad I didn’t get this deal last time and I paid more than what the price is now. Unfortunately, I will be moving on to see if I can get a better deal that suites what milligram I’m on and can be sufficient for the amount of time I pay for.
