FAQ
GLP-1 Plus is a compounded medication with Semaglutide and B Vitamins, used primarily to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity. It’s part of a class of drugs called GLP-1 receptor agonists (glucagon-like peptide-1), which mimic a hormone in your body that helps regulate blood sugar, insulin levels, and appetite.
Here’s what it does:
1. Lowers blood sugar by increasing insulin secretion (when needed).
2. Suppresses appetite by acting on the brain’s hunger centers.
3. Slows gastric emptying, making you feel fuller longer.
4. Promotes weight loss, which is why it’s also used for obesity management.
Yes, compounded medication is safe when prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider and prepared by a reputable pharmacy. At Balanced Hormone Health, patient safety is our top priority. For those currently administering GLP-1 Plus injections weekly:
If you are currently on a 1.0mg/week dose (weeks 9-12), you may continue at this level, with the large vial lasting approximately 12.5 weeks. Dosing adjustments are based on your individual progress and response:
If after two weeks you continue to experience hunger without adverse effects, you may consider increasing to the next dose. If you’re satisfied with your results—such as reduced hunger, ongoing weight loss, and no side effects—you can maintain your current dose until you reach your goal.
Achieving your desired outcomes doesn’t require reaching the maximum dose
